Description: The seventh American Indian Heritage Month Poster. “In recognition of American Indian Native Cultural Values ". The artwork “ Lifetime of Memories” represents the oldest sport in America, Kabucha toil, stickball/sticks, it shows the tradition of many of the Southeastern American Native people. The artwork also shows how Native Americans continue to use natural resources, Hickory is used for baskets made through the centuries. Spirits reflect traditional life cycle. Transitions from generation to generation blend the old ways of their own traditional activities. An earthly mother mound is part of the historic tradition. A spiritual dedication of the Choctaw cultural heritage to honor and respect the care of their people…. Designed by James Willis, and Illustrated by Sam Bichers. American Indian Heritage Month is sponsored by the USDA, Soil Conservation Service, in association with the Ohio Valley RC&D Council and the USDA, Natural Resources Conservation Service.
