| Description: | The sixteenth American Indian Heritage Month Poster. In recognition of the "Month of the American Indian Heritage"."We Are All One Family Dedicated To Protecting Mother Earth". Choctaw people are a proud and strong nation. They are always thankful for the wonderful bounty Mother Earth provides from the wood, water, fresh game, and food crops. Choctaw people believe the earth is left in our hands to care for and protect our children: their children, and future generations to come. The Choctaw ancestors only used what they needed from the earth and did not waste the natural resources. The Choctaw Nation promotes keeping our heritage alive. American Indian Heritage Month is sponsored by the USDA, Soil Conservation Service, in association with the Ohio Valley RC&D Council and the USDA, Natural Resources Conservation Service. |
